I opened the tin of chocolates excited,

There had been picture of favourite on lid.

Delved in the metal container – none could I find!

“Okay” I shouted loudly, “Where have they all gone?”

“Mum” said my youngest stifling a laugh “What is wrong?”

“There’s no purple papered chocolates to be seen!

My youngest daughter could hold back laughter no more

As I hurriedly turned to walk out of the door.

“I will ask the others!” she said still smiling.

“I did it!” said oldest girl, lying on the floor,

“All mum’s chocolates are in the sideboard drawer.”

Later, indulged myself, eating all my sweets.
