Torquay’s new-look Jessops officially opened on Thursday 15th February in Sainsbury’s.
The occasion was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local press, bloggers and customers who received fabulous goodie bags and free prints in celebration.
Jessops in Torquay will fully embrace the photo revolution. Jessops has seen a huge rise in the number of photos that are being taken by customers both on cameras and on phones that are at risk of being lost in the virtual universe. With over 1 trillion pictures being taken each year, the demand for printing is at an all-time high.
The Jessops photo revolution is about encouraging customers to set their photos free by taking their images off their phones, memory cards or even social timelines and sharing them with friends and family through gifting or creating something beautiful and different for their homes.
Keith Monroe, the Store manager for Jessops Torquay says: “We hope to inspire all types of photographers with our new range of printing and gifting services. The super quality of our new printers will truly get the best out of your images. We’re delighted to welcome the people of Torquay to come and see our new store and allow us to help set their photos free!”
The new Jessops store is playground for those who are looking for inspiration, ideas, expert advice and hands on help to find the perfect way to show off your photos. From being able to print directly from your mobile phones, to showcasing your photos in exciting new ways such as on cushions, scrapbooks, photo albums, creative framing and much, much more.
The Jessops ‘Photosmiths’, fully trained in store experts, are there ready and waiting to give you one to one guidance on how to create your works of art. You can even hand your project over to one of the team who will create whilst you do your weekly grocery shop!
Scott Worger, the Retail Director of Jessops says: “More than 95 million photos are uploaded to Instagram each day – yet we keep forgetting to print our photos. With our new store we want to inspire customers to finally release their favourite photos from the cameras and phones they are trapped in. For many, one of the most thoughtful and sentimental gifts you can receive is a favourite photo presented beautifully in a frame. It is this idea that lies at the very heart of our new store concept. We are incredibly excited about the reopening and hope customers will pop in to try out our new gift printing services.”
The new shop in Torquay offers a huge range of products; from quirky colourful frames and smart-looking albums to a vast selection of personalised gifts that you can, quite literally, print your face on. The focus is on artistic fun with photos. Cameras will make way for printing stations and a host of creative photo and gifting ideas. “If hardware is on your shopping list, our team of experts are on hand to help and you can even order the camera you want for collection in store the next day via our click and collect service,” says Scott.
