Still Young

Still Young
I think I’m still young ‘til I look in the mirror,
Then deep wrinkles are all too obvious too see!
Crows’ feet eyes but inside I know I’m crazy me!
I daydream about my life’s early escapades.

Long summer days spent at beach, jumping over waves
Or I was climbing grassy knolls and tumbling down.
But these days I watch others, whilst I’m sitting down,
Encourage mad cap antics of children young.

I think about my own dear frazzled, nerves worn mum!
As I performed yet another dare devil trick!
My sister said she could not watch, made her feel sick!
But now I am ancient I would not change a thing!
